JHS Awards
Since 1991, two Grade 9 students from Isaac Newton Junior High School have each received annual awards of $50.00. In 2009 this amount was increased to $75.00. Chosen by the staff and principal of the school, the following criteria form the basis of these awards:

- Academic achievement
- Perseverance
- Social awareness/Conscience/Leadership/Citizenship
